Buy local

There is a term I’ve grappled with over the years. What is it? Local artist. For some businesses, this is a great term. For example, what comes to mind when you think about a farmers market? Local fresh food. No pesticides. Good for the economy.

Well, let us look at the local artist. These folks have tapped into a global market (internet, tours, etc.) but decided to live in their current city. They constantly find ways to connect with their local base. They are inspired by their community and return the fruits tenfold.

Local artists are also good for the local economy. When you support local artists, they spend their earned income in their community. Every international artist is a local artist somewhere. Why not support your local treasure?

Do you think you are getting a better quality when you spend more money on non-local artists? Well, in some cases, you are getting the same quality. But the international artist will leave your city and spend money somewhere else. Why not support the local artists and show them the love they deserve? The return is good for everyone.

Try it! Buy local…
